Evaluation
The one which we have chosen to film is the atrium. The reason for this is because it has a lot of space and lighting. One problem with the atrium is that it is echoey so it might be a bit difficult to record sound.

Risk Assessment for Technology Room

Is there any water?
There is no water in the building so the equipment will not get wet. There wasn't any water involved in the filming so filming was effected by this situaiton at any point.

Are there any wires going across the floor?
There is no wires going across the floor. If there was any wires n the floor we would clan them up and make sure there wasn't any during filming. There might have been wires on the floor as it was a technology room so if there was we would have made sure that it was all tidied up and no one would trip over or hurt them selves from the wired.

Is there anything you can burn yourself on?
There is nothing that you can burn yourself on. However the location of the filming was a technolgoy room but it have had equipment that was highly dangerous so we had a member of staff with us if there was one and woul have been carefil while filming the advert. But there wasn't anything that can burn yourself so we were very fortunate.

Will there be others walking thorough the set?
Well as it was a technolgy room for the location of filming, there was a class going thorugh the filming location so there was people on the set. so we had to be careful of them and made sure that we desturb their lesson or them desturbing our filiming. So we made sure that we was careful because we would be doing a voice over for filming and they wouldn't desturb us for filming

Are there any tripping hazards?
There are a few hazards such as chairs and tables which will have to moved. As there were cables on the floor we had to be extremly careful as we didnt hurt ourselves. we hadto make sure that the environemtn was safe for us to film

Is there anything sharp?
There wasn;t anything sharp aprt from other people product which might have been a little bit but not sharp as we would hurt ourselves. We had to be careful of the environment as it high standered products and made sure that no one's product was misused.

Are there bags on the floor?
There aren't any bags on the floor but it depends on the day. Sometimes there might be bags on the floor if there was other student but on the day of filming there wasn;t any and if there was we would move it so that noe one hurt themselves and everyone was safe and surrounded.

Could somebody trip over a chair or table?
Since when we went to do our recce there were chairs and tables so there is a possibility that someone might trip over them. There was a chance as I said in the recce there was cables and chairs. There was many hazards but if we worked apropriately i a safe environemtn then that wouldn;t be a problem and it would be fine for filming.

Is the room hot or cold?
The room is quite warm because it has a heating system. The technology room tend to be quite ward of the equipment so it was a bit heated. However the door was open for some air and we all hhad a safe surrounding to ilm in.

Could the product be damaged?
The product could be damaged if dont look after the product safetly. For example messing around with the product means that there is a high chance of us damaging the equipment which would destroy the product of the designer Steven Mclean which would not be accetpable.

Could any design technology work be damaged?
Yes as there was other people high standered design and we had to be extra care so that we didn't hurt the material and we made sure that the environemtn.

Are there lights shining in anybody's eyes?

There is natural light from the glass roof. However it wont be shinning in anyone's eyes. At the moments there  is no issue of that because it depends on time of the day or weather  However if it was to be a problem we have many back up plans from atrium, or drama room.

Is there any handling of toxic materials?

No we wouldn't be handling of toxic material as we are only using a camera and tripod. We would not be handling toxic material in the first place and the product has not got any toxic material or anything that will harm us in any way. The glass vial might be the most toxic; its used for balancing on the tripod which if it was to be broken it would not be able to harm anyone. It contains alcohol and spirit.

Will there be any lifting of heavy objects?
Even though the product is the heaviest object in the production, we would not be lifting the product. Therefore there is not use of lifting heavy material. we will be carry the camera and the tripod for filming and is not heavy compared to the products.

Will there be much use of sharp or electrical equipment?
There is no use of sharp electrical eqipment but there is use of electrical in terms of camera, tripod and computer which I will to be for editing. But there is no real danger other than not using the equipment properly and messing  around with the equipment. Also the most sharp electrical equipment is being is used is the tripod. Even that is not to sharp to hurt you.

Are there any personal safety issues when interviewing?
My group have not used interviewing so this was not really an issue. However the footage is shown to have Sarah our team member talking in fron of the camera at the begging. Even then personal safety was not an issue. But its does not mean not be aware of it, my group and I should be aware of the surrounf and make sure that we are aware if there is any. There is not specific personal saefty we know of at the moment. The images is taken from Sarah's blog is taken from her domain

What if there is use of inappropriate clothing?
We will think about what we are wearing in advance so this is not an issue, but if there is something we have overlooked like a tassel. We will either tuck it in or get someone else to do the part, as safety is more important than who is in the shot. We will do the same even if it is unrelated to safety and just inappropriateness.

There isn't any of use of appropriate clothing but we are aware of it. For example of someone is wearing a tassel we would ask them to tuck them in or have to film the understudy in filming especially in filming not so much with the planning. Safety is very important more  than who is the shot. We will be following orders of safety precaution even if its unrelated to safety or inappropriate because we can't have someone wearing inappropriate clothes for filming. What would be inappropriate clothing is wearing  trainers, sandals, shorts, Tassels hanging out, having hair down, shorts skirts and low cut topes.

Revelvant authorities
For our filming in the technology room, we made sure that we asked permission from the head of technology. We had discussed the equipment of the of the technology room and what to avoid. We also had to ask permission from the media teacher to use the equipment such as Camera, Tripod and editting suit. We didn't needs to contact  permission to any external resources as we were film in the Beacon school and the course was provided by them
